Learning intentions

Students will design, test, deliver, and evaluate an evidence-based campaign for a defined audience and decision-maker. They will explain how rhetorical choices and platform power shape participation.

Success criteria

Differentiation & Inclusion

Scaffold support: Complete one model section together, provide a source pack and sentence frames, and conference before delivery. Extension learners compare channel choices or design a response to one platform risk.

ELL / ESOL: Pre-teach decision-maker, credible, consent, institutional, pathos, logos, and ethos. Accept planning notes in a home language and campaign artefacts in written, audio, or visual form.

Inclusion: Personal accounts, public posting, political disclosure, and lived-experience testimony are never required. Provide de-identified examples and a low-risk school channel.

Mātauranga Māori and tikanga boundary: If a campaign concerns specific whenua, iwi, hapū, or marae, use sources accountable to those communities and arrange a local handoff before delivery. Ākonga do not speak for a community they do not represent.
