Frequently Asked Questions

12,929 NZC-aligned resources covering Years 7–13 across Social Studies, English, Science, Digital Technologies, Mathematics, and more. Every achievement objective in the New Zealand Curriculum is indexed verbatim. Resources include lesson plans, handouts, unit outlines, printable templates, and classroom activities — all searchable by curriculum level, learning area, and keyword.
Te Wānanga is the AI lesson-drafting tool. You give it a curriculum outcome, a year level, and context about your class — and it generates a structured lesson plan draft grounded in the NZC. Kaiako Pro includes the full generation and refinement workflow. The Te Tiriti plan gives access to a lighter version of the tool.
You can browse a curated sample of resources and use the games and templates without subscribing. A full trial (all 12,929 resources + AI tools) is available to participants in our AI Workshops — workshop attendees receive a 60-day Kaiako Pro voucher code. Otherwise, you can subscribe monthly and cancel before your next billing date if it is not for you.
If you are a teacher actively writing lesson plans each week, Kaiako Pro is the one — it unlocks the full Te Wānanga drafting workflow, Creation Studio editing, and the ability to save, revisit, and export lesson drafts. Te Tiriti is a lighter tier suited to ākonga, lifelong learners, or kaiako who mainly want access to the resource library without the full planning workflow.
It is genuinely NZC-aligned — not generic. Every resource is tagged to specific achievement objectives from the New Zealand Curriculum (all 10,500 indexed verbatim), and the AI tools are built to generate within that curriculum structure. Resources also integrate mātauranga Māori and te ao Māori perspectives, designed for Aotearoa classrooms — not repurposed from Australian or UK sources.
Yes. You can cancel from your account dashboard at any time. If billing is active, you keep access until the end of your current billing period — no partial refunds, no penalties. Annual subscribers who cancel keep access until the year runs out.
Yes. Educational equity matters here. If you are from a kura Māori, a low-decile school, or any context where the standard pricing is a barrier, contact us and we will work through a rollout pathway with you. The school lane has equity pricing built in as a conversation, not an afterthought.
Years 7–13 (intermediate and secondary). Core learning areas include Social Studies, English, Science, Digital Technologies, and Mathematics, with cross-curricular resources in Cultural Studies, Media Literacy, and te ao Māori integration. Coverage is strongest in Social Studies and Digital Technologies.
Individual plans are per-person. If your department or kura wants shared access for multiple teachers, the school lane is the right path — see the Schools & Kura page for the rollout conversation, including department pricing and onboarding support.
Yes — use BETA100 at Stripe Checkout if you are helping validate the live billing flow. You still enter card details (to test the full journey), but no charge is taken. We will give clear notice before the billing-validation window closes.
